Enjoy Uruguay Traditional style on Horse Back. Learn the South American style of riding in our massive arena with the aid of one of our Gauchos or gallop though our fields like the real wild west!
Choose one of our pure bred Criollo horses, (of which majority are born in the Estancia) and discover the marvelous landscapes that Finca Piedra offer in company of one of our gauchos. We have a large arena for beginners and those who are a bit out of practice.

Criollos Horses
The Estancia has its own production cycle of Criollo horses, autochthon and well adapted to this region of the world.
We select them based on the oldest pure blood Uruguayan line that we keep closed, like a patrimony to preserve carefully. You will be able to saddle them without difficulty or just watch as they pass through the property, freely.
The Criollo horse had a very important role during the country formation, Independence and the rural development. It is seen as the strength and foundation of the national economy.
Short Distance Tours
For the beginners, we offer the possibility to familiarize yourself with the horse in the large arena and after to take a short trot for a few hours in the 1000 hectares of the property, accompanied by one of our gauchos.
Medium Distance Tours – 2 days
For the more accomplished horse riders, we have routed a trip though the Sierras de Mahoma, with an experienced guide.
The tour starts early in the morning, with a picnic break in the fields for lunch, and a long trip during the afternoon.
The day ends with the setup of tents in a spectacular campsite where after we organize a typical outdoor Uruguayan barbecue, with our excellent wines.
Long Distance Tours – 4 days
For the Equestrian Tourism lovers but also for the very experienced riders, we offer the possibility to go through a section of Uruguay on a 4 day trip, having stop-overs in tents under the gorgeous sparkling sky.
The objective of this experience is that the horse rider has to push their own limits. An unforgettable experience!
Groups are accompanied by a very experienced guide.
